Marine Capital Partners is a private investment firm focused on partnering with management to invest in lower middle market companies. We seek to identify market-leading businesses with identifiable growth opportunities across various industries.
Our network of operating partners and long-standing capital partner relationships enable us to quickly and thoroughly evaluate investment opportunities and determine if we can serve as a strategic capital partner to the Company. Post-acquisition, Marine takes an active role in working with management to augment the Company’s core competencies and unlock value for all stakeholders through various operational improvements (i.e. human capital, expand the Company’s product/service offering, customer or vendors relationship, fund CapEx projects, M&A, invest in IT and instill policies and procedures to professionalize the back-office).

Lower Middle Market Focus
Marine seeks to leverage its investment and deep operating bench to partner with management to invest in lower middle market companies.
Flexible Mandate
Each company and investment opportunity is unique. As such, we seek to understand the objectives of the current shareholders and then devise a bespoke solution that is in the best interest of the Company and its stakeholders. We welcome the opportunity to have the Seller retain a portion of the equity of the Company post-closing and believe that management should receive meaningful ownership stake in the Company as we work together to maximize value and ensure that incentives are aligned.
Value Creation
We take a long-term perspective towards building great businesses. Once a transaction has closed, we work with management to execute value creation strategies to maximize value for all stakeholders (i.e. addressing human capital needs, growing the product/service offering, expanding or diversifying customer or vendor relationships, funding CapEx projects, M&A, IT upgrades and instill policies and procedures to professionalize a Company’s back-office).

TEAM
Jason Efthimiou - Managing Partner
Founded Marine Capital Partners in 2020 following a successful career working with Ron Burkle and The Yucaipa Companies. While at Yucaipa, Jason was a senior investment professional and oversaw many of the firm's successful consumer, business services, leisure and sports media & entertainment investments. Jason served on the Board of Directors for the NHL Pittsburgh Penguins, The Yellowstone Club, Big Sky Investment Holdings, Independent Talent Group, Coda Agency, X-R Touring, AGI Entertainment, TDS Logistics and CEIVA Logic. Prior to joining Yucaipa, Jason served as an investment banker within Piper Jaffray & Co's Middle Market M&A Group and Credit Suisse First Boston's Real Estate Investment Banking Group. Jason earned a BS in Finance from American University, Washington, DC.
Jason has developed a deep operating partner bench to help evaluate potential investment opportunities and identify ways that Marine can serve as strategic capital partner to its portfolio companies.
